About FUjiyama

a TASTE OF JAPAN,

IN THE HEART OF sAIGON.

At Fujiyama, our philosophy is simple: bringing smiles to people around the world through food.

From the very beginning, expanding beyond Japan has been an important part of our vision. Our company was founded in Hokkaido, Japan, a region widely known as one of the country’s leading centers of food culture. When we first visited Ho Chi Minh City, we were deeply inspired by the city’s vibrant energy, warmth, and immense potential. It was here that we knew Fujiyama belonged.

Our concept is to recreate authentic Japanese sushi culture in the heart of Saigon. Both our cuisine and our space are designed to reflect this commitment. The restaurant’s interior draws inspiration from traditional Edo-period teahouses (chaya), creating an atmosphere that is calm, refined, and distinctly Japanese.

We want every guest who walks through our doors to feel as though they have stepped into a real sushi restaurant in Japan — even while remaining in Ho Chi Minh City. Just as importantly, we aim to share the spirit of omotenashi, Japan’s time-honored approach to hospitality, where attentiveness, sincerity, and respect come first.

What sets Fujiyama apart is our dedication to tradition and quality. We source fresh seafood directly from Japan and prepare our sushi using Edomae-style red vinegar rice, a hallmark of classic sushi craftsmanship.

Above all, we are proud that our food, service, and atmosphere are all rooted in authentic Japanese standards. Every detail — from the ingredients we select to the way guests are welcomed — reflects our respect for Japanese culinary culture and our desire to share it with Saigon.
